DIY of the month. NEW LINK UP INFO

Hey guys! I'm so excited to introduce this new link up to you guys!

So. The best way to introduce it is to give you a background of what it will be like.

What is it: A DIY link-up. All things crafts and projects related.

When is it: Last Tuesday of every month. 

Who is hosting: This Mama {a craft guru wanna-be}

Why: I have always loved posts that people do with their DIY projects. I love DIY projects, and I have always wanted to do more. I  have done a few projects myself and really love the idea of doing something special, something meaningful, and putting my own spin on things. I want to get better, and I want to learn from you guys. I think it would be a fun link-up and a great way to jump around and get ideas from other people! 

What do you link up: A DIY project that you did that month related to the theme that we will announce the month before {this month, it will be announced here, right now}. It can be pinterest related, something out of your own little head, or something you have done in the past.

What to include in the post: The post can be as simple as you showing us the craft you did. But I would try to include supplies, approximate cost, step-by-step instructions, and of course pictures! The more the better... plus... then we can do the project as well!

Why once a month only?: Simple. Time and money. I, nor many people out there, have the time to devote to a craft a week. Plus, it gets costly. Plus, I think once a month gives you something to look forward to, gives you plenty of time to work on it, and even more time to put your post together.

Featured Projects: After the link-up, on that following Monday, I will announce the top 5 crafts. It may be more depending on what we find, we will see.

Themes: So every month I will announce the theme for the following month. I will have it in my post during the link-up, as well as the post with the featured favorites. I will also have it on my sidebar as a little reminder. Themes will be related to what is to come the following month, however, they will remain pretty broad so that you do not have stick with the exact theme, however, something similar would be great. For instance, January Theme is going to be LOVE. The reason for that is so we can get a head start on the "V-DAY" crafts and once the link-up is posted, we can all get ideas from one another on projects we can do for our loved ones. Again, this does not have to be "Valentines" related, but anything that makes you think of "Love." Making a craft for your child, or husband would fall in that category because these are people that you love. 

Easy enough? I am also always open to suggestions for the following months! I think this could be fun!

FEBRUARY: green {anything green. can be something related to st. patricks day. can have the color green in the project. or anything that makes you think of the "environment" {doesn't have to have the color green." Be creative!}
