Meet This Mama; How to Survive TWINS!

I just recently started following Brittany's blog and I am amazed by her beautiful story, her adorable twin babies, and her loving relationship with her husband {who is her high school sweetheart!}.

I know how hard one baby can be, so I cannot imagine two!

And the road they had to take to get to that point? Absolutely amazing.

Thank you Brittany for opening your life to us!

Name: Brittany
Age: 24 soon to be 25
Number of kiddos: 2
Names (and meaning): Ava (like a bird(not why we chose it)), Landon (grassy plain(again not why we chose it))
Age of kiddos: almost 15 months (HOLY CRAP)
Number of desired kiddos: 3 maybe 4, I guess time will tell
Natural {epidural?} or C-Section: BOTH w/ epidural, I pushed baby A out (Landon) then had a crash C-Section for baby B due to Ava going breech and her heart rate dropped.
Breast,Formula,or both: Both from birth-3 months, then switched to formula when my supply couldn't even feed 1 of them anymore.
Cloth or Regular: Regular
SAHM or Work {doing what}: Work 3 days a week, home for the rest but work from home.  I am in charge of PR and marketing for my FIL dental practice, including hosting continued education events throughout the year for 300+ people.
Something that many people don't know about you: I'm super sensitive, I can put up a super strong front but it doesn't take much to hurt my feelings especially if I consider you a friend.
Becky asked me: I think for you it would be wonderful to know what the key is to surviving with multiples?!
Our key to surviving our life with multiples was schedule, schedule, schedule.  We kept the twins on their NICU schedule from the day we got them home, as they slept longer and dropped naps we adjusted but alway kept them on the same schedule.  They nap at the same time, go to sleep at the same time.  I really wanted to avoid having one sleeping and the other wide awake.
I know some disagree with "scheduling" your child but for us it was the only way we could keep our sanity as well as be able to spend time together, be it at home, while the babies slept.
Also I had to learn to accept help, when we first got home I had a SUPERMOM attitude, I thought I could do it all by myself.  After about a week of trying to clean and cook and take care of newborn (preemie) twins I figured out I needed to accept when a grandma or friend wanted to help.
We have also accepted an attitude of this too shall pass, if they are teething or sick, we just remind ourselves that it WILL come to an end and to be thankful that it's just a cold or a tooth and that they are healthy babies for being early.
Show me your 9 month Prego picture (or your last prego pic before birth):

32 weeks on hospital bedrest, taken 1 day before the twins were born

Show me the nursery:

Show me your kiddos:

Their 10 month pics but it's so cute I have to share it!!

Lastly, show me a quote {or picture} of something you believe in, or something that makes you smile:

Basically how we survived IVF, preemies and twins
So run off and say hello to Brittany and her beautiful babies!!!

I love that pic of the babes! I also love the belly pic, it was bigger than mine at 37 weeks with twins, but she has no stretch marks, so JEALOUS!!
