Moving on. Sunday we spent the day swimming at my parent's house. This was too much fun. Especially with baby girl. We hung out on rafts, played with the kiddos {Elli and Dawson}, drank lots of booze, and finished off grilling out. My dad makes the ultimate best grill food. Hands down. And I honestly had enough food to last me a few days. Oh well.
I did however pass out at 8 pm Sunday night. Lame? Yes. But go back and read the part where I said my husband never lets me sleep. So it was finally catching up to me.
And I took a nice nap already today. And you may be thinking... hmm... no pictures in this post from the weekened? Strange. {I know}. But when I told Andrew all the things to pack {which included a whole car full of junk}, I failed to mention the camera. Fail big time. So that was that. No camera, no pictures.
So this weekend my mom said something funny to me, "how come when you mention me on the your blog, you only say something negative, but when you go see your in-laws its all lalala happy times."
I almost spit out my water.
Jealous much?
Okay. Let me explain. First off, I rarely mention much about outsiders {my family, haha}, aside from Andrew and Elli belly just because I am unsure of how much information any of my family members {including my in-laws} want me to share on here. So the post she is referring to {about herself} is here and the one about Louisville is here.
1. None of these posts had a topic that was directed to either individual.
2. Both posts briefly mentioned one or the other.
3. My mom's post? Mentioned her puking. Ha. Hilllarious. Is this a bad thing? Of course not.
4. In-laws post? Just that we had a lot of fun in Louisville.
So again what's the big deal? Exactly why I don't go into details about my family. In fact, neither of these posts I went into detail at all.
But because of her {my dear mom} sad pouty pitiful looking face, I will give credit where credit is due. My mom has done a lot for us, and we are so so so lucky to have her to help out with the little babe. She is literally a phone call away, and has never turned down any favor we have ever asked of her. The biggest favor of all being when we went to Arizona and she watched the babe, at our house might I add. Not only did she do an amazing job {and follow the rules. brownie points for that}, but she also cleaned our house like a crazy person {I mean that in a good way}. I mean how sweet it is to come home to the babe and a spotless home? Not that we aren't always spotless to begin with. Mhmmm.
And although I don't talk about it a lot on my blog... we like chiiilllll at my parents house all.the.time. Why? Because we always have fun with them. Like we did this past weekend. Although, me being the bad mom that I am, forget the damn camera. Negative points there.
So there you have it mommy dearest. You are just fabulosity at its finest.
And since I can't just leave off without any sort of pictures... here you have it.... the only pics I took on 4th of July {after the fact}.
And no I didn't dress her in red.white.and blue.
And no tears were shed because of it.
Pinky promise.
Hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend!

Happy 4th!
Is Elli a little blondie? Or is it just the light? Either way -- cute!
Happy (late) 4th! :) & your Sunday sounds like the PERFECT day - always the best way to spend any day.
Oh, & definitely didn't dress my little man in red, white, and blue either.. he was super cute in his baby blue polo & khaki shorts, I think! ;)
Haha... that is exactly why almost nobody I know knows about my blog besides a few friends... ha ha
